Consulting Director

Job Description
A new opportunity exists for a top candidate for the position of Consulting Director. We seek an experienced professional from the Oracle community who can take over operation of the consulting practice, create new direction and build up a successful consulting business. This professional is expected to possess prior experience operating and current experience managing the Oracle ERP Applications, Database and Tools. This candidate is well versed in formulating and delivering complex Oracle-based solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, State and Local governments and Higher Education Institutions.

Experience required includes a four-year degree, four to six years experience each in Business Development, Applications Consulting and Oracle ERP Applications. Five years experience in a management capacity is important. CPA, CMA, APICS, Oracle or other relevant degree or certification is useful.

Oracle Sales Services Professional

Job Description
Opportunity is now available for an experienced sales person from the Oracle community who can develop sales plans, prosecute leads and close business, among the best in our profession.

This Sales Professional is expected to possess the knowledge of Oracle ERP Applications, Database and Tools, necessary to effectively sell complex Oracle-based service solutions.

This candidate should possess a four-year degree, at least five years of progressive sales experience, one to three years of first-hand Oracle experience and one to three years of technology industry experience. Additionally, this candidate should also possess three to four years of proven, strong technology and communication skills. We are seeking strong interpersonal, communication and written abilities.

Senior Functional Consultant (Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing, and HR/Payroll)

Job Description
The Senior Functional Consultant is primarily responsible for delivery of financial, distribution, manufacturing, HR/Payroll, and custom applications to our clients. The Senior Consultant must be able to develop and lead a plan for the client’s satisfaction. The main activities of the Functional Consultant include:

  • project planning
  • client operations analysis
  • configuration
  • testing and pilot
  • end user training
  • post production support

This position is also an important component of the rapid growth of BOSS Corporation.

Senior Technical Consultant

Job Description
The Senior Technical Consultant is primarily responsible for delivery of financial, distribution, manufacturing, HR/Payroll, and custom applications to our clients. The Senior Consultant must be able to develop specifications and programs to extend, interface, enhance, or customize the Oracle Applications. In addition, the technical consultant converts legacy data to initialize the Applications and creates interfaces to foreign systems. Also, the technical consultant may work on internal BOSS Corporation software development projects. This position is an important component of the rapid growth of BOSS Corporation.

Requirements
The candidate may be a salaried consultant, contract implementer, project team member, or MIS department staff.

The ideal candidate for this position will have ...

  • 2+ years experience with Developer 2000 R1.3+ (i.e. Forms 4.5, Reports 2.5, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader)
  • 2+ years experience with Oracle Applications Release 10.x and 11.x
  • UNIX operating system commands and techniques (i.e. ksh, vi, grep, ls, lp, cp, ps, cut, find, cat, sed)
  • Excellent PC software skills, including: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Ability to travel to and work at client sites
  • A four year technical degree

Designer 2000, C, C++, MS-Access are all nice to have but not generally required.

Database Administrator

Job Description
The Database Administrator is primarily responsible for delivery of technical database services to our clients.
The DBA must be able to install the Oracle 9i database and install, upgrade, or patch the Oracle Applications. The DBA will understand the technical architecture requirements for the applications and will recommend solutions for fault tolerance, security, back up / recovery, space management, and performance improvement. In addition, the DBA may convert legacy data to initialize the Applications and create interfaces to non-Oracle systems. This position is an important component of the rapid growth of BOSS Corporation.

  • 3+ years experience of Oracle 8i and 9i database administration
  • Expert database tools experience (PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, imp, exp, SQL*Plus)
  • 2+ years experience with Oracle Applications Release 11.x
  • UNIX operating system commands and techniques (i.e. ksh, vi, file system, tar, cpio)
  • Excellent PC software skills, including: Windows/NT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A four year degree
  • Ability to travel to and work at client sites

Compensation

Generally, we try to structure an individualized compensation package for each of our consultants. Your package will incorporate the features that are important to you. We know that your skills and time are valuable, and full time travel to client sites is a difficult life style. Therefore, BOSS Corporation consultants and practice managers are well compensated. All consultants are paid for all billable hours (i.e. overtime is paid for more than 40 hours/week), and salaried consultants are paid while between projects. Travel time (unless it is billable) is not compensated. Living and travel expenses while at the client site are usually reimbursed by the client through BOSS Corporation.

BOSS Consultants may participate in cash incentive programs to develop additional business (sales commission for leads and jobs even if they aren't working on the job) and recruit new consultants to the firm (up to $5000 per placement).

Benefits for salaried employees include paid vacation, paid holidays, medical /dental / prescription / vision / life insurance, and continuing education.
